AS the end of 2011 approaches, it is an helpful time to reflect on another successful year for St Peter's AC.

Using the scale of medals won in Irish national championship competition, the Dromiskin-based belabour surpassed its achievements of 2010. A total of four gold, 10 silver plate and seven bronze medals were won by 10 different athletes from the baste in 2011, an improvement on the tally of four gold, six silver and five bronze won by eight athletes in 2010.

The fractionation of this year's medals by event underlines the club's deserved stature as a powerhouse in the field events. Seven medals came in the High Elevation, five each in the Shot Putt and Javelin, three in the Long Jump, with just one in a track event.

Emily Rogers led the way, victorious one gold (Schools outdoors), two silver (Juvenile indoors and outdoors) and two bronze (Elder indoors and Junior outdoors) in the High Jump.

Maria Duffy won gold in the Elongated Jump and silver in the Javelin (both Masters' outdoors). Olivia Mcdonald won Javelin gold (U-23 outdoors) and bronze (Elder outdoors), while Hilary Kerr won Long Jump gold (Universities' outdoors) and bronze (Universities' indoors).

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford University track and field crews will be divided into two this weekend as it sends some resident-athletes at Gainesville, Florida, games Pepsi Florida Relays and Other in Auburn, Ala., to conflict in the excellent Tiger Track. Both events are met two days held on Friday and Saturday.

"We would like to have seduced the whole group in Florida," the Prime Minister Rod Samford Transportation Lunch said, "but the fields were a bit edition valid athletes.Auburn is well proven sufficient to allow us to make a few athletes that lack a chore microscopic and are hoping for an amazing weekend both satisfied. "

Samford Field Pepsi Florida Relays competitors consist of nine men and four women.

Cavan Corcoran will compete in the 110 meter hurdles at 12.45 on Friday for men, while Lauren D'Alessio will try his move on the runway of 800 meters for the first time in the old time at 2:55 pm Then Tyler Morgan will run the 400 meter hurdles for women at 3:45 pmFriday, followed by Donald Cooper and Chas Keithan following men....

Although it was not the most admirable week as far as bear up against goes, it was a very enthusiastic week for our Work together. I characterize oneself as like we came a dream of way together this week. There was a lot of abashment and there were a lot of changes in plans, but no occurrence what we were faced with, we responded in a complete way. The Part Championships were scheduled to go on Tuesday and Wednesday. We fought solidified through the twist on Tuesday - it was the worst unwind I have ever witnessed at a track link up - but Wednesday's take care of was moved to Thursday then to Friday because of the unwell. Even on Friday it was not idyllic for competing in, but the Troupe came together and was very graphic throughout the Championships. When all was said and done, the girls had scored 254 points (40 more than last year, and 148 more than 2nd embarrass Viewmont) and the boys had scored 244 points (only 9 less than our dominating conduct of 2009, and 135 more than 2nd OK Syracuse).
