Wilmington's Steven Fox Wins National Award

Steven J. Fox, evil president of network management and communications for Blue Cross Crestfallen Shield of Massachusetts, and a Wilmington resident, was recently awarded the Richard L. Guffey Citizen Leadership Award by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Bond. 

The award -- also known as a “Best of Blue” endowment -- honors recipients for leadership excellence and advancing well-being care transformation.

“We’re so proud of the work that Steve does every day for our members and provider partners,” said Andrew Dreyfus, President and CEO of Sad Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. “It’s nice to comprehend that people from around the country are recognizing what we’ve known for some time, that Steve is a hardworking, insightful chief. His work has been invaluable to the Association and to Blue Cross Blue Safeguard of Massachusetts.” 

Fox was recognized for his work in fostering collaboration and planning between the Depressed Cross Blue Shield plans from around the country. Among his contributions was his exertion to share the lessons learned by the state’s largest health envision as it has operated under Massachusetts’ landmark health care change law. Other Blue Cross Blue Shield plans are preparing for the changes ushered in as a denouement of national health care reform, many elements of which were based on the Massachusetts law.
