The Windsor Youth Focus on Wyandotte Avenue has been busy handing out gloves, scarves and socks during the just out cold snap.

But stock is running low and organizer Tamara Kowalska said they desperate straits donations to start flowing in. Boots are in high demand.

"Keeping your feet dry and amorous is really important. We don’t get a lot of boots donated," Kowalska said.

Kowalska said gloves are the other filler that's often handed out. They're particularly important because people are still biking, despite the old.

"They're biking because they don't have money for other forms of transportation," she said. "That's really, unqualifiedly hard on your hands."

Kowalska said the centre isn't in danger of game out of gloves, but she would like more on hand, just in case.

Paul Lafontaine dropped off socks and other clothing Friday.

"Everybody should be participating," he said. "Anything could turn up [with the weather] and we have to be prepared for it.
