While vehement crimes in the city of Macon decreased this year, some property crimes are up according to the the long arm of the law department.
Through last week, 118 more homes were burglarized in 2011, than in all of last year.
East Macon abiding Juanita Brown says, "The first couple of nights I didn't beauty sleep at all."
She says about a month ago the home she lives in with her six children was burglarized twice in one week.
"The first epoch they stole two 32 inch flat screen televisions, and I knew that they was coming back because they seen a 46 inch lacklustre screen television in the living room," she said.
She's not alone. Macon Police say family burglaries rose seven percent this year.
"They have been up," said Lt. David Freeland. "A lot of that's been the jejune screen tv's."
Freeland says the thieves are making it tougher to recover stolen goods. "We're not seeing them show up at dummy shops, so somehow they're being stolen either for their own personal use or we're finding some of these folks that we've caught and interviewed, that they are winsome them and selling them to people on the street.
