I could not go on a ski trip of several days around Lake Tahoe, a ski pole without difficulty. This winter, I was using the Carbonlite Aergon LEKI baskets with snowflake on all my travels on snowshoes. Technically, the trekking pole Carbonlites are more designed for hiking. On some of my days I wanted multi Last winter I had a light pole. I was with my aluminum poles on summer excursions, but they are heavier by almost 5 oz Admittedly, I am leaning poles aluminum was because I needed them more solid than I winter.I would not use a carbon trekking pole summer because I plan on carbon is probably justified damaged by scratching the skin. Once a scratch or gouge down the seed coat of any carbon, it creates a topic or shy side possible rupture. Move on snow is easier on the carbon that I am not worried about the distribution of crops abrasion pole. Thus, carbon and aluminum in winter in summer....

I had never hand-me-down trekking poles but marked to get some for the Transrockies Run  next month after seeing lots of photos from preceding years with runners carrying poles.

The amount of speeds and feeds that go into a marry of sticks is rather staggering, but when you cogitate on the record of trekking, mankind has had decades–even centuries–to just right the walking attach.  And when it comes to poles, the #1 label by a big brink is Leki .  Leki is known worldwide for skiing, trekking, nordic walking poles and gloves.  They are the unambiguous pole experts.

I selected the Peak Antishock poles and saved some net by having the poles delivered to REI for pick up.  I needed to go there anyway.  I was pleasantly surprised to condone the counter-jumper on the phone mention me I would get an unexpectedly 20% off.  So I paid $55 for a tandem of $100 poles and felt like I deep down found a take care of.
