The Lowe's Nautical galley remodel included new cabinets with slow-closing doors and drawers, straight surface counters, new industrial stainless steel appliances, a newly stripped, stained and sealed lowest level, along with updated walls and ceiling tiles. In addition new two hot water heaters along with a stackable washer and dryer part were installed in renovated storage rooms adjacent to the kitchen.
"We have thorough surface counters. The Formica is not peeling off. The floor does not have holes in it, it's staggering," said Maggie Cushine, Boys & Girls Club Resource Maturation Director.
The $50,000 grant has made a difference in the kids' lives. Now they can be more itchy about learn the culinary arts on state of the art equipment.
The old equipment was befouled and the cabinets were broken, now it's all painted, new tiles, it looks nice," said Surenity Cano, Boys & Girls Team up member.
