I'm having trouble administering my MicroSD Adapter into my STYLUS-550WP Olympus camera?

Question: I can't get the adapter (which holds the celebration card) into the camera. Would I have to force it in, with the risk of breaking it? I looked all around the internet, and found no answers. Please usurp!
